Hello Families,
Thrilled to be part of your village, my passion for the well-being of children and families has been a constant driving force behind create this company. Growing up in a large family, I embraced responsibilities for the care of my younger siblings, cousins, and family friends. This passion led me to pursue higher education, culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Relations from Tennessee State University. Throughout my college journey, I honed my skills at a childcare center, providing care for children aged 6 weeks and above during school breaks and summer months.
Following graduation, I embarked on my teaching career as a Pre-K teacher for a Head Start program, where I dedicated several years. This experience allowed me to develop effective communication with both children and parents, earning recognition for my well-organized classroom and innovative, engaging activities. Fueled by this success, I pursued further education, attaining a Masters of Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University.

Excited to embark on my professional journey after graduating, I relocated to Georgia where I started my career as a first-grade teacher. While teaching, I discovered a profound interest in special education and took on the role of an inclusion teacher. Simultaneously, becoming a mother and a wife added a new dimension to my life and heightened my commitment to making a positive impact. My family moved to the DMV area, where I secured a position as a Pre-K teacher and also delved into additional roles as a nanny and tutor.
Balancing the demands of being a mother and a professional led me to a unique solution—I integrated my daughter into my nanny responsibilities, bridging my passion for childcare with the joys of family life. This fusion of roles gave rise to JPea Nanny & Tutoring Services.
The motivation behind founding this company is deeply personal. As a new mom and wife, I encountered the challenges of finding reliable and safe care for my daughter, often missing out on significant events. This struggle inspired me to create a solution, ensuring that families have access to trustworthy childcare. JPea Nanny & Tutoring Services aims to fill this gap by providing dependable care for various occasions, including private and corporate events. The goal is to eliminate childcare as a hindrance for parents attending important events, offering a service that keeps children engaged and well-cared for during gatherings.
